Secure Yourself At Cyber Cafe

You are away from laptop or internet connection. And you are in hurry and you have to send a very important Email then what you will do ?

Go to Cyber Cafe !!!!

But sometimes the Cafe person or someone else have installed key logger.

Which will store your keystrokes  and whatever you enter there. And they will be able to hack your Email account or other accounts which you accessed there.

Here we will discuss how to be safe  from these key loggers installed in Cyber Cafe’s using simple precautions :

#PRECAUTION 1:

Want to secure yourself use OnScreen Keyboard as being used by banks website. In case of Antivirus like Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. On Screen Keyboard  functionality is there. But this trick is very less used.

#PRECAUTION 2:

This trick of cheating keyloggers involves confusing the keylogger with random keystrokes .
Suppose you want to login to www.gmail.com with the below login details :

Username: lnmiit
Password: hello

Now just open “Notepad” and enter your password with some random characters :

Now just copy and paste the relevant characters(password) into login box using “mouse” and login into your account.
This trick i always use to bypass the keyloggers at cyber cafe.

Some other tips to be safe at Cyber Cafe:

1)Check PC you are using it with latest Antivirus and Updates installed.

2)Next precaution is to turn off Auto complete option in “internet explorer”

Just follow these steps:

Open “IE” and go to Internet Options>>>>Content     tab>>>>Autocomplete>>>>Uncheck ‘forms’ and ‘username-password’

In case of Firefox Go to >> tools >> Options >> Security >> Password >> Uncheck remember passwords.

If you take care of Precautions above then your account will be 95% safe at Cyber Cafe.
